Presently, Eastgate actively supports the native missionary work  Patrick and Barb Lataillade in Haiti, as well as the work of Sabet & Suzy Kuj, working in the Sudan.

HAITI

SUDAN

The Lataillades have been serving in Haiti since 1989 as a family. Patrick and Barb have two children, Rachel age 16 and Agape age 15. They have been active in the work of sharing Jesus right along side of their parents.

The main focus of the ministry is planting churches in areas of Haiti that have yet to be reached with the Gospel. Presently they are concentrating on the southern coast of Haiti and the surrounding mountain areas. Six churches have been planted in these areas. There is also a church in the capital city, Port-au-Prince that they serve in as leaders.

"We have many native missionaries working with us. As God calls them out they go to the villages and work as leaders to train and disciple the new converts and build up the church." explain the Lataillades.

At www.liviingwordhaiti.org, you can see more details of their work.

Presently, they are ministering with Hope-Builders International. They work only with indigenous organizations in foreign fields. The advantage in this is that natives already know the language and culture.

The calling that the Lord has placed on this family is wonderful to watch and to be inspired by the wonderful love of God for the Sudanese people.

Sabet and Suzy Kuj are a living testimony of believers in the Lord's service who have embraced the reality of giving their lives. They are directing their ministry to those who are hiding out in the bush within the war zone near Tonj, South Sudan. In just a short time, due to the atrocities in South Sudan, this young couple has demonstrated bravery, tenacity and unselfish love few Christians have the opportunity to express in an entire lifetime!

Most of their time is spent in Tonj, where they oversee a clinic, feeding center and grade school, in addition to ministering to people all day long.
